A Christmas dress for Baby Born

A few weeks back I realised I hadn't decided on what I wanted my girls to wear on Christmas day... I love to buy them something new to wear to help make the day feel a little extra special :) Usually I end up just buying something from Target that looks festive and pretty but this year I decided I was going to support homemade and have something specially made for them and the above image is what I had in mind.

I sent the image to Diane from Made with Love Creations and she worked her magic and my dream became a reality. I am now really looking forward to seeing the girls all dressed up and to be honest I am even more excited to be able to get pictures of the three of them all together in their matching outfits especially since my two youngest have decided that they would like their picture with Santa this year... something we have NEVER done!

I got to thinking... for Christmas this year from Santa Miss 4 is getting a baby born doll and I figure that her new dolly was going to need a matching outfit too! So I ordered some fabric and found some matching ribbon and made Baby Born her very own pillowcase dress!

I found this SUPER easy to follow tutorial on the 'Skip to my Lou' blog... I just loved this tutorial and it was (dare I say it again) SUPER EASY!

I am however much to busy (and lazy) to work on shorts and so I just found a little outfit on Ebay that had red shorts AND was only $6.50 so I bought them... I would have spent about the same amount at Lincraft buying red fabric anyway and this way I don't have to stress about making them myself :)

So keep an eye out on the Crafty Mumma Facebook page as I will most probably share pictures of the girls and Baby Born in their matching dresses there!

Happy Crafting!
