Presents 4 Coal

As a baby shower present for my sister in law I made a necklace of her ultrasound picture. It actually turned out beautifully, I was very pleased with myself.

To welcome baby in to the world I ordered him a special blanket and burp cloth set from Sweet Baby Blankets on Etsy. I, being the crafty person that I am attacked the burp cloth's and turned one into a matching pillow and the second into a dinosaur for him!

I also made him a little taggie cushion from 2 white face washers and some blue and red ribbon. I blanket stitched a felt C on the front and his little crib set was finished. I LOVE how it turned out, it was so soft and cuddly and super adorable and I was busting at the seems to share it with the world and now that he has them I can!!! Yayyyyyyy!!!

The dinosaur was made using the Tommy T-Rex pattern by Bit of Whimsy Dolls, you can find it here. I did make a few alterations to the pattern, I changed his fabric spikes to rounded version and I also made him a mouth and tongue. I think he's adorable with his cheeky tongue poking out!! His body is made from Elmo print flannel, His spines from light blue polka dot cotton fabric and his arms and legs are made from miniature terry towelling fabric.
