Where my love for Polymer clay began...

I thought I would share with all my lovely blog readers my very first polymer clay creation and where my love for sculpting started. Way back on E's second birthday, back when she just adored Finding Nemo I decided to make her a Nemo cake. Mind you I had NO cake making experience and NO  Google to help me research techniques. I searched high and low to find a Nemo cake topper but couldn't find one. So off I went to the nearest craft store and bought a black, orange and white lump of Fimo polymer clay. It took me an hour or so but somehow I managed to make a Nemo. He took pride of place on a cake that took her Aunty and I almost half of the night to make. I still have him tucked away in a box of keepsakes and overbite I pull him out I can't help but marvel at the fact that I managed to keep the white clay so clean!

that's an awesome nemo! If I didn't know any better I would have thought it came from the shop!
I love reading stories about how people find their passion.
